As a member of VIFC you agree to the following:

  1. Fly at least 1 flight per month
  2. Ensure PIREPS are accurate
  3. Treat other club members with respect
  4. Comply with laws and regulations pertaining to copyright of Software.
  5. Strive to build a collaborative relationship with other virtual pilots and others for the advancement of the hobby.
  6. All persons applying to VIFC must be at least 17 years of age


A Member of the Steering Committee:

  1. shall, when representing the Club or the Steering Committee in the course of normal duties, display conduct that shall not cause harm to the image of the Club, nor any Member of the Club;

  2. shall be committed to the Core Values of the Club; being (in short) Flying, Fun, and Friendship;

  3. shall become acquainted with the software used by the Club to manage the activities of the Club Members on a day-to-day basis;

  4. shall be available and capable, within reason, to assist any Club Member to set up the various versions of the software used at that time for day-to-day Club activities and Group Flights; and if not able to do so, to refer the Club Member to the Steering Committee Member/s who can;

  5. is, in order to achieve proficiency with the chosen software of the day, expected to record the following PERSONAL Club activities:

    1. fly at least four flights per calendar month on SimAcars, and connected to Teamspeak and FFS2PLAY (or whichever software the Club has adopted at that time);

    2. participate in a minimum of 1 Group Flight per calendar month; and

    3. complete a minimum of 2 Cross country events/Tours per year.

  6. may request a Leave of Absence of a reasonable period, in advance, for personal reasons;

  7. shall attend a minimum of 2/3rds of the Meetings of the Steering Committee in a calendar year, and shall be deemed to have attended a Meeting providing prior email notification be sent to the Chairman of the day, along with items to be raised and a proxy issued to another Member of the Steering Committee for each item on the Agenda requiring a vote;

  8. may nominate a Portfolio or Portfolios involving the areas of managing or improving the facilities of the Club, in which that Member of the Steering Committee has competent experience;

  9. who fails to reasonably comply with the necessary requirements shall be notified of the failure by the Chairman of the day, and upon failure to make right, may be voted off the Steering Committee.
